Interweavings of Tangible and Intangible Heritage: A case study of the historic town of Srirangapatna

On 8 July 2019, a seminar titled “Interweavings of Tangible and Intangible Heritage: A case study of the historic town of Srirangapatna” was co-organised by Prof Sharada Srinivasan, NIAS, Prof Ramakrishna Rao, Mysore School of Architecture and Prof Soumyen Bandopadhyay, University of Liverpool.

This involved a preliminary exploration into facets of intangible heritage related to the historic town of Srirangapatna, India with its heritage going back to the era of the Wodeyars, Tipu Sultan and beyond, and architectural and artistic heritage using multi-disciplinary approaches. Speakers included faculty staff and students of NIAS, University of Liverpool, Mysore School of Architecture and other experts.
