Biography

Linda Shetabi is a Lecturer and the Director of the MSc Conservation Programme at the Division of Landscape Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. Dr Shetabi is an international policy analyst with expertise in heritage conservation and sustainable development, actively contributing to the ICOMOS SDG Working Group and the NGO Major Group. Her work supports non-governmental organizations’ engagement with the UN High-Level Political Forum, fostering global partnerships that harness cultural heritage for sustainable development. As a co-author of the ICOMOS publication Heritage and the Sustainable Development Goals: Policy Guidance for Heritage and Development Actors, Linda provides critical policy guidance for stakeholders in positioning heritage as a vital component of sustainable strategies.
