Dr Linda Shetabi joins ArCHIAM as Honorary Research Fellow
Building upon the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 4th July 2023 between the University of Liverpool School of Architecture (LSA) and the University of Hong Kong’s Division of Landscape Architecture, Dr Linda Shetabi, Director of the MSc Conservation Programme, was awarded an Honorary Research Fellowship at the University of Liverpool on 23rd June 2025 for three years.
This appointment strengthens the MoU by supporting academic staff exchange, joint funding, and Dr Shetabi’s research on heritage conservation policy in urban planning and sustainable development in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
During June and July, she visited Liverpool, engaging with faculty and the ArCHIAM team to plan knowledge exchange and training workshops. She also toured LSA’s 2025 End of Year Showcase and explored ArCHIAM’s heritage-focused pedagogical practices at BA3 and MArch5 level. Since 2021, she has collaborated with ArCHIAM, notably leading a 2024 Summer Heritage Research Internship at HKU’s BHRC, where LSA students undertook research in Danba, Mainland China. This fellowship reinforces both universities’ role in advancing global dialogues on architecture, cultural heritage, and sustainable urban futures.
